The Story Behind Wayve

We built Wayve out of frustration.

After one too many exhausting trips. Stairs with no escalator. Metro gates. Cobblestone streets. We asked ourselves a simple question: why do we still carry luggage the same way we did 50 years ago?

The suitcase was never designed to be carried. It was designed to be rolled. But the world isn't always flat — and the moment you leave the pavement, everything becomes a struggle.

One problem. One solution.

We spent months designing, testing, and refining. We went through dozens of prototypes. We tested it in airports, train stations, and cities across Europe. The goal was simple: a harness that clips onto any suitcase in under 60 seconds, turns it into a backpack, and actually feels good to wear.

No gimmicks. No complicated setup. No tools. Just a smarter way to travel.

Built for real travelers.

Wayve is for anyone who refuses to let their luggage slow them down — solo travelers navigating Tokyo, families rushing through Charles de Gaulle, business travelers on back-to-back trips. Anyone who's ever missed a train because their suitcase got in the way.

We're a small, independent team obsessed with one thing: making travel feel effortless.
